Writer: EWB - MNEWB - MN

For our last day, we woke up bright and early, the sun just beginning to peek over the horizon, casting a warm golden glow that promised a beautiful day ahead. We were filled with a sense of excitement as we prepared for the journey to Antigua, a city known for its stunning colonial architecture and vibrant culture. The drive was picturesque, with rolling hills and lush greenery framing our route. We arrived in Antigua around noon, and after checking into our hotel, we quickly freshened up and set out to explore the enchanting city.

Our first stop was at some of the notable historical sites that Antigua is famous for. The vibrant colors of the buildings around us, coupled with the cobblestone streets, created a picturesque backdrop for our explorations. We made our way to the iconic Arco de Santa Catalina, a symbol of the city, where we took countless photos, capturing the essence of our travels. After immersing ourselves in the history and culture, we decided to visit the local craft markets, where artisans displayed their handmade goods. The markets were alive with the sounds of vendors calling out to potential customers. We spent time browsing through colorful textiles, intricate pottery, and unique jewelry, each piece telling a story of the local craftsmanship.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the city, we made our way back to our hotel. We gathered on the rooftop, where we were treated to stunning panoramic views of Antigua, the surrounding volcanoes, and the beautiful sky painted in hues of orange and pink. It was a serene moment as we shared stories and recapped the amazing trip we had together, reminiscing about the laughter and adventures that we shared.

As evening descended, we enjoyed a lovely dinner at a nearby restaurant. The atmosphere was lively, filled with the sounds of laughter and conversation as we shared our favorite moments from the trip. As the night progressed, a couple of people brought out some wooden instruments bought earlier that day, and some of the more musically inclined members of the group played a spontaneous musical performance. It was a night filled with joy, connection, and an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the memories we had created together.

The next morning, as we packed our bags and prepared to leave, there was a bittersweet feeling in the air. Our shuttle arrived promptly to take us back to the airport. The journey back home was filled with reflections on the incredible experiences we had shared and the beautiful places we had explored.
